Happy Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) from the Intopia team! Every year on the third Thursday of May, we connect globally to celebrate GAAD. It’s an awareness day for digital access and inclusion for the more than one billion people who live with disabilities or impairments.
This year, we’ve released some useful resources and made some exciting announcements. Thanks for joining us!
Intopia Criteria App
We are excited to announce the soft launch of Intopia’s Acceptance Criteria App, designed to simplify the task of writing accessibility acceptance criteria for your web projects.
Writing these criteria can be a repetitive, time-consuming task that often needs deep knowledge of accessibility. Our app takes on this challenge for you. Just pick your component from a list, answer questions that match your implementation and we’ll provide the accessibility acceptance criteria.
The Acceptance Criteria App will be a fantastic tool for anyone involved in web development, including business analysts, designers, developers, and testers.
This is an early ‘Alpha’ release to coincide with GAAD and gather feedback about the tool. We are working to expand the app to cover more components. You can follow the launch by following us on social media.
WCAG 2.2 Maps in German, French, Spanish, and Italian
You asked. We delivered.
Our English WCAG 2.2 Map launched in late 2023 and quickly became a global hit, gathering over 120,000 views on LinkedIn alone. We received an incredible amount of positive feedback but also requests for international versions. Encouraged by this, we got busy gathering versions in multiple languages to better serve our international community.
Check out the new WCAG 2.2 Map Translations in German, French, Spanish, and Italian!
A big thank you to Roberto Scano, Sandra Kallmeyer, Eric Eggert, Carlos Muncharaz Rodríguez, and the team at Koena for assisting with the translations.
