As a part of this year’s IDPWD, Intopia will be hosting a free webinar at 1pm AEDT on Friday 3 December. It’s free to attend through Zoom, and a recording will be made available after the event.

International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD) is held annually on 3 December. It’s a day that aims to promote the rights and wellbeing of people with disability in all aspects of society, and increase awareness of inclusion in political, social, economic and cultural life.

The theme for this year is ‘Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities towards an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world’. You can read more about IDPWD on the United Nations website.

To mark the day, Intopia will be hosting a webinar featuring four members of our team. Our Intopia Connect Co-ordinator Charlii Parker will be leading a conversation with:

  • Adem Cifcioglu – Co-founder and Director of Accessible Technologies
  • Neil Jarvis – Business Development Consultant
  • Tess Herbert – Social Media and Content Co-ordinator

Each of our team will reflect on their own personal experiences of navigating different work environments and talk about the importance of IDPWD.

The webinar will be held at 1pm AEDT on Friday 3 December and is free to attend. Registration is also not required – you can join Intopia’s IDPWD webinar directly through Zoom when the webinar gets underway. Be sure to bookmark this page so you can join the webinar directly on the day. If you’re asked for a passcode by Zoom, it’s 545452.

We’ll also be tweeting along from the Intopia twitter account, using the hashtag #IDPWD.
