A free skill from Intopia that gives Figma Make an accessibility rulebook to follow. Install it once and it works in every Make project.

What the Skill does

Figma Make turns your prompts and designs into working prototypes. On its own it has no accessibility guidance, so what it builds often looks right but breaks for people using a keyboard, a screen reader, or enlarged text.

The Skill gives Figma Make accessibility rules to follow as it generates. Prototypes come out with proper heading structure, keyboard support, sufficient colour contrast, and sensible focus order from the first prompt. Before it builds, it writes an accessibility plan and runs a colour-contrast check. After it builds, it adds the Intopia accessibility toolbar so you can see the decisions it made and run the manual checks yourself.

In Intopia’s own testing, prototypes built with the skill passed 91.1% of accessibility test cases from a text prompt, up from 47% without it. (Note the Skill is an accessibility boost, not a guarantee; human review and testing with people who use assistive technology are still essential.)

How to install the Skill in Figma Make

  1. Download the raw SKILL.md file from GitHub.
  2. Open your project in Figma Make.
  3. Upload SKILL.md: go to Add context > Skills > Add skills.
  4. Check it’s active: go to Add context > Skills > Manage skills and confirm SKILL.md is listed.
  5. Call it in a prompt. Add “Use /intopia-a11y-guideline to make it accessible.” and Make will follow the skill as it builds.
